SBIA strictly seperates Zakat collections and distribution. Please use this form for Zakat-only donations.
Recordable donations (donations that are made using personal checks, electronic payments, or other means that clearly indicate donor’s name and address) may be substituted for your annual membership due as long as they are for SBIA operating funds or SBIA’s asset-related (e.g. – land or building) projects, but not your zakat donations.

SBIA has two major areas of expenses as it moves forward in serving our growing community. Please note that SBIA does not use zakat funds for its operating or construction expenses.
Phase 2 Construction
With Allah’s help, SBIA is moving forward with Phase 2 of our expansion project. This phase includes the construction of a new wudu area and restrooms, additional classrooms, a new meeting/multipurpose hall, a dedicated seniors lounge, expanded storage space, and other facilities that will enhance the educational, spiritual, and social needs of our community. We request your generous support in helping bring this important phase to completion.
Operating Expenses
As our community continues to grow, so do the costs associated with maintaining and operating the masjid and its programs. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing generosity, which allows SBIA to continue offering high-quality religious, educational, youth, family, and community services for all.

The South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) is one of the oldest Islamic Organizations in The Bay Area. Its headquarters are located in San Jose, CA. SBIA has been providing various services to the community since 1977 including the five daily prayers at two locations (San Jose Downtown, and Harris Way) and Friday prayers at both locations. SBIA has been active in spreading Islam through various Dawah programs and by hosting a number of activities including Weekend Islamic School, Quranic classes for children, Tafseer (English translation and Exegesis) classes for adults, conferences and community get-togethers.
